52nd Annual JFK 50 Mile Race November 22, 2014
Cumberland Valley Athletic Club Masters Standout Matt Elgin passed away suddenly on August 9, 2014. The 43 year old was a second generation CVAC athlete --his Father William ran for the CVAC in the early 1960s. A two-time winner of the masters division at the Gary Brown Memorial C&O Canal Five Mile Run he was a tireless volunteer at all of the CVAC organized events including the JFK 50 Mile, Pete Wright Memorial Track & Field Series and the GBM Five-Mile. Matt leaves behind his wife Angela and two teenage children. You can assist the family by mailing donations (checks made out to Angela Elgin) to: The Elgin Family, 1518 Park Terrace Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202.

I hope to introduce a few more features to enhance the site and help make the overall event more pleasurable. If you notice any glaring mistakes feel free to contact me and I'll do my best to correct them.
